About

April 2011

We launched this blog on 2nd April 2011.

By we, I mean myself Karen (an Australian) and my friend Sue (a Canadian).

Sue and I met online in 2004 but didn’t meet in person until 2006 in Trondheim, Norway and have been friends ever since. We both love Norway, the country, the people, the food and of course the Chocolate.

Norwegian’s call it Sjokolade. Hear the Norwegian translation here. (click on the speaker button).

I thought Sjokolade was a good word, we both happen to adore the colour Pink and I chose the name years ago but the site wasn’t doing anything special so I deleted everything and we relaunched it. We hope you like it.

Sue will hopefully be posting about Cooking and other book reviews, knitting projects etc in the future. She’s a Mum to a new baby and works full time so she’ll post when she can find time. I’ve asked her to review the US/Canadian version of Gwyneth Paltrow’s cookbook called My Father’s Daughter so I hope she can email me some notes and I’ll write it up for her and post it next week or so and I have notes from the UK version called Notes From My Kitchen Table to write up for you as well.

Thanks for visiting our blog, please Subscribe and Comment.
